Pastor's Bio

Elder Ronald R. Blanks, Sr. was born in Thomasville, AL to Johnny and Ealma Blanks. He is married to the lovely Evangelist Sharolyn E. Blanks who is the Assistant District Missionary of the C.L. McCoy District and has four children, Ronald Jr., Hannah, Myah and Ronia Blanks.

Pastor Blanks was called by God to go out and preach the Gospel in October of 1996. He accepted this calling during his assignment as a Drill Sergeant at Fort Sam Houston, TX, while being a member of True Holiness Pentecostal Church.

Pastor Blanks was assigned as the Youth Minister until his reassignment to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. Shortly after this new assignment, he became a faithful member of Deliverance Tabernacle Church of God in Christ (COGIC), where he served for over 16 years, under the leadership of Superintendent Wayne M. Brooks, Sr. Pastor Blanks served in many capacities: he served as the Brotherhood and Pastors Aide President, a member of the Executive and Trustee Board, and eventually became the Assistant Pastor. Pastor Blanks was ordained as an Elder in the Church of God in Christ under Bishop Nevelle A. Coles of the Washington D.C. Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction in August of 2008.
In October 2012, Pastor Blanks was appointed as the District Sunday School President of the Sherman Scott Howard District under Superintendent Wayne M. Brooks, Sr. He served in this appointment until June 2015. Pastor Blanks heard the pastoral calling on his life in the year of 2013, but being committed to where God had placed him, he felt there was still more work for him to do there. After wrestling with the Lord, he gave in and accepted the call of Pastor in May 2015. In June 2015, Pastor Blanks became the founder and Pastor of Reachmore Church of God in Christ (COGIC).

Pastor Blanks currently serves in the following capacities within the Maryland Central Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop Carl A. Pierce, Sr: Chairman for the Pastors and Elders Council, Vice-Chairman of the Pastors and Elders Examination Board, and member of the Bishop’s Executive Board.
Pastor Blanks served in the United States Army for over 16 years. He held the position of a Drill Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Dental Hygienist, and Logistics NCOIC (Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge). He also was the first NCOIC of the Pentagon Tri-Service Dental Facility.

Pastor Blanks holds an MBA in Business Administration and a BS in Business Management with a Minor in Dental Hygiene Technology and Law Enforcement.

Pastor Blanks worked as a Senior Budget Analyst for the Department of Health and Human Services. He also worked at the Department of State and the Department of Labor as a Budget Analyst. Pastor Blanks walked away from a six-figure job, while working for the Department of Health and Human Services, to become a full time Pastor while owning his own Mortgage Brokering Company. Pastor Blanks is a licensed Realtor, and he owns and operates a beauty salon within the Reachmore church.

Pastor Blanks also currently serves as the CFO of the United Ministers Coalition of Southern Maryland. He will be forever grateful to Superintendent/Pastor Brooks for making sure that he was taught and trained in the way of holiness.

Pastor Blanks’ favorite scripture is I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

(Psalm 121:1-2). Pastor Blanks understands and realizes the steps of a Good Man are ordered by the Lord.
